Announcer: Nathan Scott is on fire tonight. Did you see that? An amazing slam dunk, Mainer didn’t even see that coming. Can you hear the crowd? Can you hear em? Scott! Scott!A couple of hours later...

“Give it up for my man, Mr Big Game…. Nathan Scott” Jay announced.

Jay was Nathan’s adviser, his coach had offered him Jay after he learnt that Nathan had a hard time keeping his temper. They all clapped some cheered, but most important all were there to worship Nathan Scott, the to be Number One NBA player.

The party continued in party fashion a couple of other scouts tried to sway Nathan to their team they often offered swanky cars or apartments with “killer” views, Nathan always listened amused to see how far they would go but always declined stating “I’m happy where I am”. This was followed by some crazed fan going over the game as though no-one including Nathan had been their, over exaggerating some stories and acting like Nathan was a superhero and they were his sidekick,

“They won’t try that with us next time. They know better than to mess with us.”

And what most men found the most enjoyable part of the party was the ladies fawning over any man they could get there hands on. As always Nathan found the hottest girl in the room invited her up to his suite. He started their romantic evening with a glass wine and ended it with meaningless sex. It had become routine, a culture, a religion even, a new girl for every game.

Then the aftermath, the aftermath was he confessional, bless me father for I have sinned, I have had another meaningless night with a girl I will never call again and during our night of passion all I could think of was one girl.

Brooke.

“Brooke.” Victoria bellowed.

Brooke could hear from her office.

“In five, four, three, two..” Brooke muttered to herself. Victoria stormed into Brooke's office, in her charming fur coat, with the gold lacy belt and the Jimmy Choos she overpaid for.

“We are having a meeting in five discussing the cover for next month’s issue.” She announced. Cruella De Ville much? Brooke thought but decided to keep that little antidote to herself.

“Brooke. Meeting. In five.” Victoria repeated.

“Yes I heard, I’m not an invalid Victoria” Brooke responded bitterly.

Victoria rolled her eyes, “Wait,” Brooke said. “I already decided the cover for next month’s issue.”

“Well I’m changing it.”

Brooke was fuming “You can’t make decisions on a magazine called B.Davis without, B.Davis!”
Victoria chuckled, “That’s what you think, be there, prove to me you have a least one brain cell behind that flawless hair.” And with that she left.

Only Victoria could insult and compliment her at the exact same time.

“Bitch.” She muttered.

Umm, Brooke.” Millicent said shyly entering Brooke’s office.

Brooke had always insisted on Millicent calling her Brooke and not Miss Davis. Miss Davis sounded like Victoria

Ok, Brooke. You’ve got a call line one.”

Brooke nodded. “Who is it?”

Millicent blushed and stuttered. “I forget… ummm it’s sometime Scott.”

“Scott?” Brooke repeated.

“Yeah, line 1. Should I tell Victoria you’re running late because you're on the phone to
Mr. Scott?”

“No!” Brooke said abruptly, "Just tell her I’m speaking to Peyton.”

Ok” Millicent said and hurried down the hall.

Brooke took a deep breath, sat in her chair, pressed line one and picked up the phone.

“Hello?”

More to come...
